WHEREAS, Chapter 705 of the Laws of Minnesota for ,1965
provides for the conversion of Special School District No. 2
to Independent School Distriet No. 625; and
WI�REAS, Chapter 659, Laws of Minnesota for 1965, whiah
law amends ?�aws of 1959, Chapter 690, Seation 3, as a.mer�ded
by La.ws of 1961, Chapter 3�#9, Section 1, and I�aws of 1963,
CY�ap�er 729, Seation 2, reads in part:
"The said Qi�y, for the purpose of providing
moneys for the payment of its severanee pay obli-
gations under any such ordir�ance, Y�ereby is authorized
and empowered, by resolution of its couneil in ad-
dition to all other powers possessed by said city'
and ir� addition to arad in excess of any limitation
upon the amount it is otherwise authorized by 1aw
to levy as taxes, to levy taxes annually not ex-
ceeding in any one year an a.mount equal to �0/100 of �
one mill upon each dollar of the assessed val�ation
the�eof for public schools, upon all taxable property ,
in said a3.ty, exclusive of moneys and credits, which
taxes as levied shall be spread upon the ta.a rolls,
and all collections thereof sha11 be paid into the
treasury of said eity, therein to be allocated
� therefor as�d to be disbur�ed and expended by said
�, , city in payment of any such public school severance •
pay obligations and for no other purpose. "; .
