The City Council requests that you prepare a resolution granting the '
attached application of Univac, Division of Sperry Rand Corporation,
for permit to install and operate a 309-car off-street parking lot
for employes on property at the southeasterly corner of Davern St.
and Stewaxt Ave., as more ful�}r set out in the attached file.
A motion was adopted authorizing the applicant to ma.intain a setback
of 5 ft. from Stewart Ave. and Shepaxd Road as reflected in their
plans.
The Council therefore did not concur in the recorr�nendation of the
Zoning Boaxd for a 14-ft. setback as set out in their letter.

, This is in the matter of tlie application of Univac, Division Sperry
� Rand Corporation for�a permit to install and operate a 309 car off-
, street employee parking lot ,on property-located at the southeasterly
corner of Davern Street` and. Stewart Avenue. The property is zoned
light industry and a copy of the legal description is attached.
, The Board of Zoning considered this matter at its regular meeting on
August 19, 1965. The staff reported that the applicant's plan met
all of the design standards for this type of facility with the excep-
tion of the setback and had been reviewed and` approved by the Traffic
. Engineer. The City Architect has ruled that a 14 foot parking lot
setback must be maintained from both �wa�t `X,1'v�n.u� and Shepard Road
' and the applicant's plan indicates a 5 foot setback. The applicant's
� plan indicates that a 3 1/� foot hedge will be provided along the
� , Davern Street fron�tage and that dr'ainage will be provided by means of
a catch-basin at the southeasterly corner of the lot.
In consideration of these' factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the
granting of the permit for a 309 car off-street parking lot on the
above described property subject to revising the plan to provide for �
the required 14 foot setback from S`keW�x'_t :A�v.�x�ufe and Shepard Road.
