The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of I+�nance
upon the above impravement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to condean and take an easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cnts and fills,
including right of re�aoval of lateral support from snbject land or remainder thereoF,
occasioned by excavations thereof or conatruction of slopes in the grading and sur-
facing with bituminoos material the EAST-WEST alley in Block 2, J. A. Bass Snbdivision
from Newcomb Street to Atlantic Street, in accordence with the blueprint hereto
attached and made a part hereof, the hatched portions showing the cuts and the shaded portion
showing the fille
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 25.00
Resolved Further, That a public hea,ring be had on said improvement on the 20th day of
July, 1965 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place af
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the tota,l cost thereof as estimated.
