WIIEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Human Resources Department wishes to improve the efficiencies of service
provided to City employees who sustain a workers compensation injury or illness; and
VJF3EREAS, the City of Saint Paul Human Resources Department, Risk Management section, administers the workers
compensation claims of City employees using Managed Caze services, as authorized by the State of Minnesota's Department of
Labor & Industry; and
WF�REAS, the City of Saint Paul's current Managed Care vendor is Healtl�Partners; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Human Resources Deparnnent, Risk Management section, would like to improve
services by allowing HealthParmers to access the workers compensation database and the workers compensation softwaze
package, ATS; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Human Resources Department, requests the City Council accept the following
donations from HealthPartners including softwaze licenses purchased for the ATS (American Technical Sexvices) workers
compensation softwaze, computer server, and additional equipment (including hazdware and sofrware) that would be necessary
to allow the Risk Manager and the Claims Manager, as well as addirional staff as necessary, to remotely access the workers
compensation database; and
RESOLVED, the City of Saint Paul hereby aceepts these donations pursuant to Chapter 41 of the Administrative Code
of the City of Saint Paul.
