RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT5 FROM THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF HAZELWOOD TERRACE AND THE REMEDIATION OF SHOLOM HOME, THE BOOTH BROWN
HOUSE, RIVER PARK LOFTS, AND THE OLD SWEDISH BANK BUILDING
WHEREAS, the City Council on October 26, 2005, by Resolution Number OS-993, authorized the Director
of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to apply to the Metropolitan Council for
grants to remediate Sholom Home, Booth Brown House, River Park Lofts, and the Old Swedish Bank; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Councii approved a$150,000 grant for the construction of Hazelwood Terrace,
a$150,000 grant far the remediation of Sholom Home, a$136,000 grant for the remediation of Booth Brown
House, a$79,800 grant for the remediation of River Park Lofts, and a$79,300 grant for the remediation of the
Old Swedish Bank Building; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby
certify that $595,100 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2006 budget
and recommends the following changes to the 2006 budget:
