In the Matter of condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for
the slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support from

The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of F�nance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with. .
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to condemn and take an easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills, '
including right of removal of lateral support from subject land or rema.inder thereof
occasioned by excavations thereof or construction of slopes in the grading and sur- �
facing with bituminous material the alley in Block 2, Hager's Sub. of Lots 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 14, 1.�, 16, 17, 18 of Walcotts Addition to Cottage Homes from W. Cottage
Avenue to W. Arlington Ave. , in accordance with the blueprint hereto attached and
made a part hereof, the hatched portions sho�,�ing the cuts and the shaded portions
. showing the fills.

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 8th day of
June, 1965 at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber af the Court
" House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of -
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Chaxter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the to�a.l cost thereof as estimated. �
