of the City of St„ Paul
Gentlemen:
k'e are thia date requesting the purchase of two Elgin Pelican
Power Sweeper Front-end Unloaders on resolution in the amount
of $15,130.00 each less trade in of $1200,00 for a used unit.
This Department in con�unction with that of the City Comptroller*s
Department has made an extensive study for the past 1�-years
relative to sweepers and we have concluded that this type machine
cannot be purchased on specifications in competit3on with the
now known standard machines*
We therefor are requesting that this resolution be adopted on the
basis of a patented item and will very shortly also take bids on
troo standard type machines for the purpose of keeping conclusive
records for future reference as to which type machine will do
the best �ob and cost the �ity the least amount per sweeping
mile,
�'!e have discussed this with the Comptroller and the Mayor•s office
and have their full concurrence„
