Dear Sir: -
This is in the matter of the appeal of Mrs. Carrie Halvorson to '
establish a 24 foot building line setback �rom Oakdale Avenue .
for the purpose of constructing a vestibule to the front of the
existing structure on property described as�the weste�rl 145 feet
of Lot -1, J. AuergRearr�"�~A ditor's Sub:�#22m �The proper y�
is zoned "B" Residence. -
The Board of Zoning considered this matter at its regular meeting '
on February 4, 1965. The staff reported that there are two other
- single-family residences in tlis block which f ront on Oakdale Avenue,
each having a setback of 25 feet. The proposed addition would be
only one foot ahead of the two existing structures in the block
and would be approximately 70 feet from the nearest adjoining resi- :
dence. The staff further reported that the requested relaxation to
�
permit a 24 foot building line setback was reasonabl.e and in keep- '�
ing with the purpose and intent of the Ordinance.
. In consideration of these factors', the Board of Zoning recommends ,
the granting of the appeal to relax the required 29 foot setback
� to 24 feet on the above described property. .
