WHEREAS, Rbb6rt L. Ames,'the City Architect,having requested the
City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints about the
expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a dangerous structure
at 557 Marshall Avenue, more particularly described as: West 53 feet Lot 5,
West 18 feet Lot 7, -All Lot 6, "Ramsey County Loan and Trust Companys" Sub-
division number one "St. Paul, Minnesota ", the City Council held a public
hearing on December 17, 1965, to consider the expense and to confirm the
amount thereof, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City Council,--pursuant to C.F. No.
220439, approved October 22, 1964,•published October 24, 1964, set a public
hearing to consider removing the dangerous structure, and the City Council by
F..No. 220746, approved November .l9, 1964, published November 21, 1964,.
ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and expense of the owner,
occupant, or other person in control thereof, and the City Council by C. F.
No. 221121, approved December 17, 1964; published Deceber 19, 1964, directed
the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings -to enter upon
the premises and wreck and remove the buildings thereon and do any and all
things therein necessary for the protection 'of life, limb and adjoining
property, and that the City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense of
$1,166.31 in removing said structure; and
WHEREAS, it - appears that Howard Yessne, 650 Mt. Curve Boulevard;
Sylvia Rosenbloom; c/o 650 Mt. Curve Boulevard; Mpls. Savings $ Loan Assn.,
2 E. Fourth Street; Edward Ellingson, 676 Aurora Avenue, all of Saint Paul,
Minnesota, are the owners of the premises,; be it
RESOLVED,-.that we, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, do
hereby confirm the amount of $1,166.31 to be the fair, true, and reasonable
amount for such services incurred in removing the dangerous structure; and
be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be directed to file in the
office of ,the Register.of -.Deeds for the County of Ramsey a.statement of expense
_incurred by the City for the purpose of securing a lien on the property,
pursuant tb the Building Code, Section 1.07 of the St. Paul Legislative Code.

Dear Sir:
We are attaching a copy of Council File No. 226504, approved
by the City Council December 29, 1965 and published in the
official paper on December 31, 1965.
This has reference to the property at 557 Marshall Avenue,
also described as West 53 feet of Lot 5, West 18 feet of
Lot 73 All Lot 6, Ramsey County Loan & Trust Company
Subdivision No. 1, owned by
Howard Yessne and Sylvia Rosenbloom, 650 Mt Curve Blvd. and
Mortgagee: Mpls. Savings & Loan Assn., 24 e. Fourth St.
Saint Paul
and confirms the expense incurred by the City in the condemna-
tion and wrecking of the two and one half story dwelling there-
on, which amounted to $1,166.31.
As you will note, the final paragraph of this resolution dir-
ects the City Clerk to file in the office of the Register of
Deeds, a statement of expense incurred, for the purpose of
securing a lien on the property, in accordance with Section
1.07 -7 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code.
