PAUL COUNCIL NO OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COU IL R SOLUTION - GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONS �_lz / nATC WHEREAS, One of the functions of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Buildings is to provide for the leisure time activities of man; and WHEREAS, The Como Park Conservatory. - establishes an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity conducive to the broadening of man's aesthetic experience through the display of appropriate works of art; and WHEREAS, The sculpture, "Crest of the Wave, " by the world- renowned sculptress, Harriet Whitney Frishmuth, is a work of art which can bring pleasure to all who view it; and WHEREAS, the fountain is appropriate for use in the Como Park Conservatory; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of St. Paul accept with gratitude the "Crest of the Wave" as a gift from William R; Anderson, given as a memorial to his father, William Rockwell Anderson.
