The paragraph entitled 'TRAFFIC' in Addendum No. 1 shall be substituted In its entirety by the following: TRAFF IC ° To permit construction of the new tunnel extension from Manhole No. 2 and to permit the drilling of the sanitary and storm sewer drop shafts at Manholes No. 3 and 4, the Tenth Street traffic will be diverted to a temporary by-pass roadway shovm on the attached drawing. The by -pass roadway will be constructed under a Minnesota Highway Department Contract at no cost to the City or the sewer contractor. However, due to weather limitations that will prevent roadway construction until spring the irk at College Avenue and 'tenth Street cannot be started until the by -pass roadway Is built and operable. The roadway work is expected to be completed by about Kay 15, 1966. The Contractor ntay start work at Manhole No. 1 and close Main Street to traffic Immediately after award of the Contract. The work area at this intersection will be limited to south of the south curb line of Tenth Street. The St. Peter Street Bridge over I.H. 35E is under construction by others. Until this facility is open to traffic, the closing of Tenth Street at Main Street cannot be permitted. Therefore the construction of the bulkhead at the j�lnptng shaft cannot take place until the St. Peter Street bridge will carry the Tenth Street traffic. The completion of this bridge Is not expected until early Fall of 1966. The Special provision entitled 'COMPELTION DATE' shall be amended to changa the completion date to November 15, 1,966. The following shall be added to the special provision entitled 'DRILL HOLES and CONNECTIONI. No percussion drilling will be permitted. All rock excavation shall become the property of the contractor and shall be disposed of by him outside the job site.
