RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing Cast Iron Water -Pipe Special
Castings, 16" and under, to the Water Department, Hamlin and Carroll Avenues, St.
Paul, Minnesota, to DAVIES WATER EQUIPMENT COMPANY in accordance with City
specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #1529 of said Davies
Water Equipment Company for the contract price of $8,985.21 (at unit prices bid)
Board of Water Commissioners reserving the right to increase any individual item
of the materials of the Contract by an amount not to exceed 20% of the quantity
indicated for each item, such bid being the lowest and said Davies Water Equipment
Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Paul.
