Dear Commissioner Dalgliah: .
I was delighted to hear from yrn.r office of the intent
to replace sidewalks on Dewey Street between Ashland and Laurel

been made very irregular by tree roots and is a hazard suaner
and winter.
Since I Yiall not be at the Council met.ng at whiah obeat.ona
might be raised, I wanted to expres$ in writin my enthusiastie
approval. "

Dear Sir
Thankyou for your letter of July 16th. The proposal of the
city to reconstruct the sidewalk on Dewey St. from Laurel to
Ashland pleases me very much, as I had sent in a request this
Spring for the cit; to la,y a new sidewalk along my property
from the alley to Ashland on the west side of Dewey. I would
prefer the 5 ft. width which you quoted at 3.25 per lineal
foot,
I will not be in the city August 3 to attend the hearing,
as y plans, made a couple months ago, were to join a group
of folks leaving for the northern part of the state on that
day, for a weeks vacation. I hope there will be no
opposition to this badly needed impr.ovement from the other
property owners, Thanking you again, I am
Sincerely yours,
( Miss ) ' n ` /
