RESOLVED� That a public hearing be held by and before
the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the Coun.cil Chamber
of the Court House and C�ty Hall� in said City� as provided
in Section 1.07, paragraph 2, of the Saint Paul Legislative
Code, on August 1�, 1965, at ten otclock a.m. , upon the
advisability and necessity of the repair� replacement, �
remodeling, or wrecking and removal of the two-family dwelling
on the West Two-Thirds of Lot 6, Merriams Rearrangement of the
East 106.55 feet of East third of Lot 9� Smiths & Lotts Out Lots.,
according to the plat thereof recorded in the office of the
Register of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minnesota� also known as
29$-300 North St. Albans Street� because said structure is
reported to be dangerous and unsafe to life, limb and
adjoining property.

Gentlemen:
This Department has completed an inspection of the two family
dwelling which is located at 298-300 North St. Albans Street,
also de'�cnr, ibed as West Two-Thirds of Lot 6, Merriarr�s Rearrange-
ment of�"ast 106.55 feet of East.�I`hird of Lot 9� Smith�&
Lotts Offit�ots.
This is a two story frame building, approximately 37 by 25 by
30. The exterior and interior are in very poor condition.
Porches are rotted and sagged, some of the cornice and siding
are missing. Sinks and bath fixtures are missing or broken.
Plaster is falling. The building is littered and is a fire
hazard and dangen� us to life, limb and adjoining property. It
should be substantially repaired or wrecked and removed.
Danger Notices have been posted. The building is owned by
James Tracy, Saint Paul Building, Fifth and Wabasha Streets,
Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102. .
Kindly institute condemnation proceedings in accordance with
Section 1.07-2 of the Saint Paul Legi,slative Code, which section
outlines procedure for condemnation of dangerous structures.
