To the Commiesioner of Finance of the City of St, Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order
of the Council known as Council File No. ���289 approved May 4th. 19�_
relative to reconstructinQ the sidewalk on both sides of Osceola Ave. from Avoa St. to
�sotto St. and bv doinr� all other work which is necessar and incidental to complete
_said imnrovement.
and having invest�.gated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lin. ft, for standard sidewalk 5 ft,
wide and $3:80 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6.ft. wide.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made a

The Council of the City of St. Paul has under consideration preli:minary

reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of Osceola �venue from Avon Street
to Grotto Street

p where it is determined that good and sufficient sidewalks exist.

The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per .lineal foot for a standard
sidewalk S feet wide and $3.80 per lineal foot for a standard sidewalk
6 feet wide.

In addition to the above, charges will be made for extra work which is
a particular benefit to the abutting property, such as tree removal,
driveways, and additional width of walks, based on the annual sidewalk
contract prices on file in the Department of Public Works.
You are hereby notified that a public hearing on the advisability of
said improvement will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall
and Court Houae at 10:00 a.m. �

You are invited to meet with the technical advisors in the Council
Chambers,at 9:30 a.m. on .the same day if you wish detailed information
regarding the proposed sidewalk construction, or call the sidewalk de-
partment'prior to the day of the hearing at 223-4255.
