WHEREAS, Tait Anders Danielson Casrillo, arrived in St. Paul seven yeazs ago, and currently lives in the West 7�'/ Fort
Road Federarion neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Tait, upon arriving in St. Paul, immediately structured his employment and daily life towards the
improvement of his community; and
WHEREAS, Tait worked as a community organizer with the District 7 Planning Council for six years; supporting and
forming block clubs; holding developers, landowners, and city officials accountable; fighting for the strong growth and
safety of the Frogtown, East Midway and Capitol Heights neighborhoods; and partnering with hundreds of dedicated
residents and community groups to build hope; and
WH�REAS, Tait has been volunteering for the St. Paul Police Deparhnent for five years both as a Neighborhood
Assistance Officer and a Police Reserve; and
WfIEREAS, Tait was appointed in September, 2004 to the Business Review Council in service to the Mayor of St. Paul;
and
WHEREAS, Tait spent two years coordinating the construcfion of the St. Paul "House of Healing" for the Center for
V ictims of Torture located on Dayton Avenue; and
WIiEREAS, Tait enjoys working part-rime at both the Fitzgerald Theater and the Science Museum of Minnesota, in order
to feel more connected to the greater St. Paul community; and
W�REAS, Tait and his lovely wife Alejandra chose to be married inside the �eat St. Paul City Hall and Ramsey County
Courthouse, because they love their cit}; and
THERERORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council does hereby publicly recognize Tait Anders Danielson
Castillo for his distinguished character and years of service to a grateful community and city; and
TFIEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council does hereby declare November 22 2006 as
TAIT ANDERS DAN]ELSON CASTILLO DAY in the City of St. Paul, with the expectation that he will someday come to his
senses, stoU worldnQ in Minneauolis and retum home to St Paul.
