RESOLUTION
SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA
1 Wf IEREAS, Kim Knudson, SQ years old, passed away peacefully in her Saint Paul home, surrounded by
2 family and friends, and her two (2) cats, after a courageous 2-year and 4-month battle with cancer; and
4 WIIEREAS, Kim graduated from Moorhead High SchooI in 1974 and from Moorhead State University in
5 1979; she was a Chi Chi's manager in the 1980's, a realtor 1998-present, an active neighborhood advocate,
6 political supporter, and a NWA Flight Attendant from 1986-2006, when she received her first set of wings;
7 20 years later, on November 14, 2006, Kim received her second set of wings, which took her to paradise;

WHEREAS, in Kim's first efforts in real estate, Kim got involved in purchasing a house on Banfil, then a
run-down street, fixing up a unit and selling it Kim was very active in working with first-time
homeowners, helping them find a house they could afford, while helping them understand the process; Kim
was very active with seniors, spending much time making seniors comfortable wifli the idea of moving
from their family home to more suitable housing; Kim was acrive in the Brewery Neighborhood when the
City was dealing with the Family Sryle Homes operation; she was involved in the Ran-View Brewery
Small Area plan that served as the basis of the redevelopment of the Brewery Neighborhood and now
Victoria Park; Kim was ac6ve in getting the Ciry to designate the Koch Mobile site into a residential
development she spoke before the City Councii as to how businesses would prosper with more foiks
living in the community—her example was the added number of potatoes Kroger's wouid have the ability
ta sell, thus, she was affecrionately called the Potato Lady of Ford Road; Kim was very acrive in the West
Side Safe Neighborhood Crime Watch;
RESOLVED, that Kim wil] always be remembered for her love of people, animals, and the emironment;
and be it finaliy
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Councii hereby honors Kim Knudson for her fabulous and important
contributions to our great City.
