3 �� WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Wine on Sale license held by 3uan Rada dibfa La
4 Hacierida Restaurante (License ID#20020000309) for the premises located at 2467 - 7�' Street West in
5 Saint Pa�l, by Notice of Intent to Suspend License dated September 26, 2006, alleging licensee failed to
6 make the a1 payment for the renewal of his Wine on Sale license by the June 30, 2006 deadline; and

8 WHE AS, the licensee did respond to the Nofice of Intent to Suspend License to contest the
9 allegation or sub 't tlae final payment on his Wine on Sale renewal license; and
10
11 WHEREAS, tice of Intent to Suspend License stated that if the licensee failed to contest the
12 allegation or submit the al payment by October 6, 2006, that the matter would be placed on the consent
13 agenda to impose the reco� ended penalty; now, therefore, be it
14
15 RESOLVED, that the 'ne on Sale license held by 7uan Rada dIb/a La Hacienda Restaurante is
16 hereby suspended.

The Office of License, Inspections and Environigental Protection has recommended
snspension of Wine on Sale license held by Juan Rada d/� La Hacienda Restaiiraute for the
premises locafed at 2467-7th Street West in Saint Paul. The�basis far the recommendation is as
follows:
On August 23, 2006, you were sent a letter from the Of ce of License,
Inspections and Environmental Protection stating that th`e final payment for
the renewai of your Wine on Sale license was not paid by t�June 30, 2006
due date. The total amount now due is $937.50 which inclu s$216.00 in
late fees. \
You were given until September 5, 2006, to submit the fina7
today's date, that payment has not been received.
At this time, you have three opfions on how to proceed:

You will need to send the final payment of $937.50 in license and late fees in
order to renew your Wine on Sa1e license. You can sent payment to the pffice of
License, Inspections and Bnvironmental Protection at 8 Fourth Street East,�lSuite
200, 5t. Paul, Minnesota 55101-1002 no later than Friday, October 6, 2006\
Information should be directed to the attention of Christine Rozek. A self- �\
addressed envelope is enclosed for your convenience. Payment of the fine will lie
considered to be a waiver of the hearing to which you are entifled.

2. If you wish to have a public hearing before the Saint Paul Ciry Council, you will
need to send me a letter with a statement admitting the facts and requesting a
public hearing. We will need to receive your letter by Friday, October 6, 2006.

\ `,determiue whether to suspend your license. You will have an opporftiui.ty to
appear before the Council and make a statement on your own behalf.
3. If you�o longer wish to do business in the City of Saint Paul, you may send a
written sxatement fo that effect to the Office of License, Inspections and
Bnvironmental Protection, 8 Fourth Street East, Suite 200, St. Paul, Minnesota
55101-1002 i�o later than Friday, October 6, 2006. Information should be
directed to the �attention of Christine Rozek.
If you have not contacted'me by that date, I will assume that you do not contest the
suspension of your Wine on Sale license.
