RESOLUTION APPROVING THE USE OF NEIGHBORHOOD STAR INVESTMENT INITIATIVE
PROGRAM FUNDS FOR A PROJECT IN WARD 5

WHEREAS, on November 8, 2006 the Neighborhood STAR Boazd reviewed Spards proposal for a patio and
security measures at Lonetti's Pub; and,
WHEREAS, the Lonetti's Patio and Security Project provides for capital improvements to the exterior of the
building that will make for a significant improvement to the Rice Street azea; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Saint Paul CiTy Council to participate in the financing of these activities by
providing a total of $35,000 from the Ward 5 Neighborhood Initiative Investment Program allocation; and,
WHEREAS, because this proposal includes important security improvements and a substantial private investment, a
waiver of the STAR Guidelines in regards to the $ l for $1 matching fund requirement is recommended; and,
WHEREAS; work on the Lonetti's Patio and Security Project began on October 15'" therefore expenditures
occurring after this date shall hereby qualify for funding; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that upon recommendation of the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter, the City
Council does hereby amend the 2006 budget for the N.I.LP. program in the following manner:
