Mr. Robert B. Gerber, Jr.

Dear Sir:
This is written in response to the petition of the Port Authority
to rezone from Commercial & "B" residence district to Light
Industrial district certain property located on the east side of
State Street between Tennessee 6 Kentucky Streets. The property
is described as Lots 1 through 6, Block 10, Town of Brooklynd and
Lots 7 through 12, Block 10, Town of Brooklynd, including vacated
alleys 6 Tennessee Street 6 Fenton Street accruing to Lots 1
through 6 & 7 through 12 of said Block 10.
On October 15, 1965, the Commissioner of Finance reported the
petition sufficient in that the owner's of 14 of a possible 15
(93.33 %) tracts of land lying within the prescribed 100 foot radius
of subject property having signed the petition.
This property is part-of-the'. Port Authority's large project known
as Riverview Industrial Park. The site under consideration has a
frontage of 330 feet along State Street and 373 feet along
Kentucky Street resulting-in an area of 118,230 square feet.
At the Board of'Zoning meeting held on November 4, 1965, the staff
reported that the proposal is in accordance with the Comprehensive
Plan and that the requested rezoning is desirable to permit the
development of this portion of the Riverview Industrial Park.
Based upon these considerations-the Board of Zoning recommends that
the petition to rezone the above described properties be granted.
t Sincerely,
NRH. /mm N. R. Heiden
