PAUL OFFICE OF' THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER MILTON ROSEN _ _ eATF Dec Lill lk Yeas O,"o 226.1-28 COUNCIL NO ember 2. 196 WHEREAS, in the matter of the Paving of SHORT LINE ROAD from Hamline Avenue to St. Clair Avenue, Comptroller's Contract L -6696, PALDA and SONS, Incorporated, contractor, the speci- fied date of completion is November 20, 1964, and WHEREAS, although the contractor prosecuted the work :dm a diligent manner, progress was impeded due to delays in the grading operations by others within the limits of-said Paving Project, with the result that said contractor was unable to complete said contract by the aforesaid date of completion, now therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the proper city officers be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute an amendment to said contract extending the completion date to JULY 23, 1965, provided however that this resolution shall have no force or effect unless the sureties on the contractors s bond consent thereto in writing and file such consent with the City Comptroller, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul hereby waives all claims for liquidated damages and that no engineering and inspect- ion costs on this project will be charged to said contractor on account of such extended period.
