RESOLVED, That Baptist Hospital Fund, Inc., owner
of the subject real estate, hereby is permitted to enlarge
an existing parking facility which now accommodates 30 cars,
to an off - street parking facility to accommodate 102 cars,
on property located on the north side of Thorne St. between
Frank and Earl Streets, more-paTticularly described as follows:
Lots 5 and 6 and the south 40 ft. of Lots 3 and 4,
Block 279 Suburban Hills, according to the plat
thereof on file and of record in the office of the
Register of Deeds in and for Ramsey County, Minnesota;
in accordance with revised plans received September 279 1965;
subject to the condition that said applicant - permittee and its
successors and assigns shall make due compliance with all
applicable provisions of municipal ordinances, State statutes,
and rules and regulations of public authorities having cognizance.

Dear Sir:
This is written in reply to the referral of the Baptist Hospital
Fund Incorporated's application for a permit to enlarge a parking
lot to•a capacity of 102 offstreet parking spaces on property
located on the north side of Thorne Street between Frank and Earl
Streets. The property is described as Lots 5 & 6 and the south
40 feet of Lots 3 and 4. Block 27, Suburban Hill's Addition, and .
the site is zoned "C" residence.
The site is occupied with a vacant hospital building which is
being demolished, and the applicant proposes to install the en-
larged parking lot for visitors and employees. The site. of the
parking lot has a frontage on Thorne Street of 220 feet and a
frontage of 250 feet •on Earl Street, resulting in an area of
55,000 square feet.
On September 16, 1965' the Board of Zoning met to consider the
matter. The staff reported that the proposal is consistent with
the area zoning and the Comprehensive Plan. The Traffic Engineer
has reviewed the plans and recommends approval. The staff recom-
mended approval of the parking lot plan subject to a few minor
changes.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recom-
mends approval of the permit to enlarge -the present parking lot to
a capacity of 102 spaces subject to the staff's recommendation.
The revised plans received on September 27, 1965 reflect the recom-
mended changes.

St. Paul at 10:00 a.m. on November 4, 1965, on the application of
Baptist Hospital Fund Inc. for a permit to enlarge present parking
lot to 102 -car parking lot on the following property: Lots 5 and
6 and south 40 feet of Lots 3 and 4, Block 27, Suburban Hills
Addition. The property is located on the north side of Thorne
Avenue between Frank and Earl Streets.
