RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering Valve Box
Sections to the City of St. Paul Water Department Storeyard, Hemline and Carroll
Avenues, Saint Paul, Minnesota, to GRINNELT COMPANY, INC. in accordance with Ci•iy
plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #1505 of
said Grinnell Company, Inc. for the contract price of $10,955.00 (Board of Water
Commissioners reserving the right to increase any individual item of the Materials
of the Contract by an amount not to exceed twenty per cent of the quantity
indicated for each item) such bid being the lowest and said Grinnell Company, Inc.
being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby
is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper City

officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Paul.
