1 WHEREAS, pursuant to Cob�fcil Fi2�e #86-1124, residential permit pazking was previously instituted on behalf of the residents residing
2 in the University of St. Thomas College azea in accordance with Chapter 168 of the Saint Paul I.egislative Code; and
3 WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul previously found tUat the aforementioned residential azea did not have sufficient off
4 sireet parldng to accommodate the residenrial paddng needs of the residents as well as the parldng needs of non-residents who use non-
5 iesidentiai facilities in the azea which lack sufficient off-street pazking; and
6 WHEREAS, affected residents have subsequently submitted peririon requesting that certain pemrit pazldng reshicrions be revised on
7 this block;
8 WHEREAS, Public Works staff Las invesrigated the basis for the pe6rion and concluded and rewmmended adoption of the changes
9 requested in the petition;
10 NOW T'HEREFORE BE IT RE50LVED, that the following parldng regulations shall be in effect in the residenrial azea near the
11 University of St. Thomas as follows:
12 Establish No Pazldng 8AM-8PM Monday-Friday Except by Pemut, Area 19 parking regularion
13 on the following block:
14 East side of Moore Street from Laurel Avenue to Selby Avenue.
15 Establish No Pazking 8AM-8PM Monday-Friday Except by Pernrit, Area 18 on the following block:
16 West side of Moore Street from Laurel Avenue to Selby Avenue.
17 BE IT PINALLY RESOLVED, that these pazldng regutarions wiii be in effect and he enforced thirty (30) days after City Council
18 approval.

Traffic Engineering received petition from 4 of 5 properry owners to install permit parking signs in this block because Universiry of
Thomas students over the yeazs have filled up the enrire bloc$.
