Hoyts Rearrangements. A public hearing will be held in the council chambers on Feb. 25, 1965, regarding the application for a permit to install and operate a Superamerica Station on the northwest corner of Central Ave. and Lexington Parkway. Because of the increased traffic on Lexington, it is nour. next to impossible to cross Lexington at Central either walking or in a car. There is a stop sign on both sides of the freeway bridge on Lexington. During the rush hour the traffic bet�veen University and the freeway bridge stop signs is at a standstill. In addition there are three � service stations on Lexington and University and also one near the freeway bridge on Lexington. A few years ago one of our neighbors was killed by a car on this corner. He was trying to cross Lexington on his way to St. Peter Claver Church. Also a boy on a bicycle was killed on this same corner recently. Since that time the traffic has increased steadily. We think this Superamerica station would hender the flow of traffic ' even more than it is now, and endanger the lives of residents and children that live in this area. With the increased use of the freeway, the traffic flow is bound to increase in this area. We would appreciate any attention that the City Council could give this matter.
