RESOLVED, That upon recommendation and report of the
Commissioner of Public Works, the proper city officials
be and hereby are authorized to reconvey to the State
of Minnesota, as trustee, as provided for by Minnesota
Statutes Sec. 281.25, the following described property:
Lot 5 and, except alley, Lot 6, and that part of
Lot 11 lying northeasterly of alley, and all of
Lot 12, Block 34, Rice and Irvineis addition to

The Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of Saint Paul
Gentlemen:
The City of St. Paul has for many years provided free
all-day parking on certain lands which were tax-for-
feited in the block bounded by Ryan, Chestnut, Hill,
and Eagle Streets.
A portion of this block is now needed to expand an
existing industry. In order to insure continued
operation of this industry, I recommend�that Lot 5
and, except alley, Lot 6, and that part of Lot 11
lying northeasterly of alley,� and all of Lot 12,
.' Block 34, Rice and IrvineTs addition to Sai.nt Pau1,
be reconveyed to the State of Minnesota. This recon-
veyance will be subject to the approval of the
Commissioner of Taxation; and, when approved, the
, lands will be offered at public sale in compliance
with the statutes regarding tax-forfeited lands.
I further recommend that the Corporation Counsel
be directed to prepare the reconveyance for execu-
tion by the proper city officials and submit the
reconveyance to the Commissioner of Taxation for
` approval.
