In the Matter of opening, widening and extending E. Fourth St., creating a cul-de -sac
for street purposes east'of Clarence St, by condemning and taking those parts of Lots
13 and 14, Hamer's Sub, of Block 1+, Stinson's Frances Street Add, and Lots 71 8 and 9,
Stealuad's Sub. of Block 7, Stinson's Frances Street Add. lying between the north and
south R/W lines of E. Fourth St. and the a= of a circle having a 45 ft. radius, the
center of said circle being on the center line of E. Fourth St. and 150 ft, E. of the
east line of Clarence St.
under Preliminary Order 228118 approved April 11+
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to open, widen and extend E. Fourth St., creating a cul -de -sac for street purposes east
of Clarence St. by condemning and taking those parts of hots 13 and 14, Ham r's Sub.
of Block 4. Stinson;s Frances Street Add. and Lots 7, 8 and 91 Stenlund's Sub. of
Block 7, Stinson's Frances Street Add, lying between the north and south R/W lines
of E. Fourth St. and the arc of a circle having a 45 fto radius, the center of said
circle being on the center line of E. Fourth St, and 150 ft. E. of the east line of
Clarence St,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 300.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 19th day of
July, 1966 - at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
