Dear Sir:
This is•written in response to the application for a
permit by Judson D. and John B. Hilton to construct a
automatic carwash on the northeast' corner of University
Avenue and Cleveland Avenue. A description of the
property is attached.
At the April 7, 1966 Board of Zoning meeting, the staff
reported that the plan meets the design standards for
this type facility: The Traffic Engineer has reviewed
the plan as.,to traffic'and recommends approval but
notes that the oversize drive will -need to have special
Council approval. The applicant will also have to
consult with the Traffic Department and the,Utilities
Department as there is traffic signal conduit and
street lighting conduit in the vicinity of-the curb
along University Avenue, and with the Highway Department
since the property is on a highway.
Based upon the above, the Board of Zoning recommends
approval of the application to construct the carwash
- facility.
