RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the recommendation of the Purchasing Committee
and rejects all bids received for LUMINAIRES for the City of St. Paul, Department of Public
Utilities, Bureau of Lighting, St. Paul, Minnesota , for the reason that it would be far
more advantageous for the City to buy luminaires with built -in ballasts in lieu of the
luminaires specified without ballasts. It is recommended that new bids be requested at
a later date with revised specifications.

Formal Bid #2059 for LUMINAIRES for the City of St. Paul, Department
of Public Utilities, Bureau of Lighting, St.-Paul, Minnesota -
for the reason that it would be far more advantageous for the City
to buy luminaires with built -in ballasts in lieu of the luminaires
specified without ballasts, per Mr. Howard Lowe, Superintendent of
Lighting.
It is recommended that new bids be requested at a later date with
revised specifications.
