"An ordinance fixing the duties and responsibilities
andj;�e minimum qualifications for the various classes of
positions in the Classified Service of the City, "
approved February 13, 1935, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
inserting in its proper alphabetical order the followingtitle and specifications
for:

Duties and responsibilities:
Under supervision, to negotiate for the purchase of medical supplies
and equipment; and to perform related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To prepare proposals and compile data and specifications for the
purchase of medical supplies and equipment.
To keep records of prices and sources of supply.
To solicit bids and conduct correspondence with prospective bidders.
To analyze bids, examine samples, and recommend awards.
-To place orders.
To see that bids and recommendations are in proper form for
stiibmission to the Purchasing Agent.
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduation, and three years' experience as buyer of
medical supplies, or six years' experience as a salesman of
medical supplies.
