AMES, City Architect 445 City Hall, 55102 223 -4212 December 15, 1966 di 1 0. Honorable Thomas R. Byrne, Mayor and Members of the City Council Subject: 441 Iglehart Avenue Gentlemenz 4 Following is a report of the Building Department on conditions of the property known as 441 Iglehart Avenue. The owner of record is Hyman Sigal, and Twin City Federal Savings & Loan Association, Mortgagee, appears to have an interest* The legal description of the property is, Lots 29 and 30, Block 20, Mackubin and Marshall's Addition to Saint Paul. Inspection was made November 14, 1966 and the following report was made on the property as described above. This property is classi- fied as a single family dwelling of frame construction, two and one - half stories in height. The building is approximately 40 feet wide, 75 feet long and 32 feet in height. EXTERIOR The exterior of the building has been extensively damaged by fire. The porches, front stairs; siding and cornice are badly damaged. The windows and doors are broken, and the yard is littered with debris thrown out of the building as the firemen were extinguish- ing the fire. The building at the present time is boarded up; however, there is evidence that the interior was extensively damaged by fire, and it is the opinion of the inspector that the property is beyond reason- able repair and should be removed. Therefore, it is the conclusion of the Bureau of Public Buildings that by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, physical damage, unsanitary condition and abandonment that this building constitutes a hazard to public health, safety and welfare.
