THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as of this day of
by and between-the
HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF SAINT PAULO MINNESOTA, hereinafter
referred to as the "Authority", and
-SAINT PAUL CITY BUREAU OF HEALTH, herein-
after referred to as the "Contractor"*
WITNESSETH THAT:
WHEREAS, the Authority has undertaken the planning of the Concord
Terrace Rehabilitation Project, Minn. R-370 to be carried out with the
financial aid of the United States of America under Title I of the Housing Act
of 1949, as amended by all amendatory acts, including the Housing Act of 1954;,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforesaid undertaking, the Authority is
proceeding with certain activities necessary for the execution of a Project,
situated in the Project Area described belowi and
WHEREAS,, the Authority desires to engage the Contractor to render
• certain technical advice,; assistance and services in connection with such
undertaking of the Authority.
NOW, THEREFOREO.the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows:
1. Scope of Services: The Contractor shall perform all necessary
services provided under this Contract in connection with and respecting the
urban area generally bounded as follows by:
Wood Street on the North, Chicago Great Western Railway
right-of-way on the Northeast,, Kansas Street on the East,
andia high bluff line on the South, Southwest and West.
and shall do, perform and carry out, in a satisfactory and proper manner (by
use of the City Bureau of Health staffs and others deemed as necessary by. _
the Contractor) as determined by the Authority in mutual agreement with the
Contractor, as necessary code inspections and code verifications as requested_
by the Authority. ;
2. Time of Performance: The services of the Contractor are to
commence at the ea r rliest possible date and shall be undertaken and completed
in such sequence as to assure their expeditious completion in the light of

the purpose of this Contract, but in any event all services required hereunder
shall be completed on or before December 31, 1967. Any delay in performance
caused by failure�of the Authority to act on any matters requiring decision
i
hereunder, shall not be charged against'the Contractor and the time allowed
Contractor for performance of this Agreement shall be extended in accordance
with such delay. 1
3. Compensation: The Authority will pay to the Contractor on the -
basis of an hourly rate the salary of a Sanitarian II as determined by Civil
Service rates and travel expenses as provided by the Bureau of Health,plus
fifteen percent (15 %) for overhead,in an amount not to exceed Three Thousand
Dollars ($3,000.00), which shall constitute full and complete compensation
for the Contractor's services hereunder. The Contractor shall be paid upon
rendition of a requisition from the Contractor specifying work performed under
this Contract. The Contractor shall be paid within fifteen (15) days after
rendition of any bill.
4. Terms and Conditions: Except as otherwise expressly provided in
this Part I - Agreement, this Agreement is subject to and incorporates the pro-
visions attached hereto as Part II - Terms and Conditions (Form H- 621B).
