In the Matter of improving and widening SIXTH STREET from Mounds Boulevard_ to
Arcade Street by regrading, repaving and recurbing the roadbed and the street, alley
and driveway returns; by constructing and reconstructing pavement, curbs, sidewalks,
traffic control systems and storm water drainage facilities where necessary; by_
constructing sewer, water and gas service connections where necessary; by renewing
existing lead water service connections; and by doing all other work which is
necessary and incidental to complete said improvement.
under Preliminary Order 224595 approved July 22, 1965
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with..
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to improve and widen SIXTIT STREET from Mounds Boulevard to Arcade Street by regrading,
repaving and recurbing,the roadbed and street, alley and driveway returns; by constructing
and reconstructing pavement, ourbs, sidewalks, traffic control systems and storm, water
drainage facilities where necessary; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections
where necessary; by renewing existing lead water service connections; and by doing all other
work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improvement.
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 161,122.00

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the lst day of
March, 1966 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner- provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
