RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the
City of Saint Paul are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota,
Department of Highways, Extraordinary_ Maintenance
Agreement authorized under Maintenance Agreement No.
1102 to repair damage to navigational lights on the
Brid e
Robert Street M.H.D. No. 9930 and to repair damage to
navigational lights on the Smith Avenue High Bridge
(M.H.D. No. 5357), a copy of which agreement is herewith
attached and marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof
by reference.

A G R E E M E N T
THIS AGREI3'�,NT Trade and entered into by and between the State of Minnesota,
ac i.nr by and through its Commissioner of Highways, hereinafter referred to as the
" State", and the City of St, Paul, Mannesota, hereinafter referred to as the "City",
WIT: 7'SSETH :
72X111S, Pursuant to SectioA 161.38 Minnesota Statutes annotated, the City
an" the State may enter into agreements concerning the maintenance of trunk highways
within the corporate limits of the City upon such terms as may be agreed upon; and
ETEtREAS, the City and the State did enter into an agreement dated July 2,
1965 and designated as Maintenance Agreement No. 1102 whereby the City, in
consideration of an annual payment of 0,000 per mile for the fiscal year of 1966,

undertook to maintain and keep in good repair portions of certain trunk highways
Vri.thin the corporate limits of the City, including a portion of Trunk Highway 110. 52
designated in the Minnesota State Highway Department records as Control Section No.
6217 beginning at the South 1,1unicipality Idmits and Robert Street; thence north and
northwest on Robert Street to University Avenue; also including a portion of Trunk
Hight-my No. 49 designated in the 11i.nnesota State Highway Department records as Control
Section No. 6223 beginning at West Seventh Street and Smith Avenue; thence on Smith
Avenue to the South 1-luni.cipali.ty Limits; and
� SAS, Section N of the aforesaid Agreement No. 1102 Drovides:
"It, hcrerever, shall not be the obligation of the Municipality under this agreement
to do azyj .,rork which shall consist of extraordinary maintenance, betterments, construction
or reconstruction. In the event that the State should desire the Municipality to do any
