COMMISSIONER DATE
RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized and directed to accept from the Port Authority
of the City of Saint,Paul, Minnesota, a conveyance of a
certain tract and parcel of land described in the deed,
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part here-
of, consideration for said conveyance being the sum of
One Dollar ($1.00), which sum shall be paid by the City
of Saint Paul to the Port Authority of the City of Saint
Paul upon tender of a deed in such form as approved by the
Corporation Counsel of the City of Saint Paul; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the purpose for which said land
is to be conveyed to and accepted by the City of Saint
Paul shall be use of said tract for right -of -way in
connection with the construction of Shepard Road between
Rankin Street and Davern Street pursuant to Preliminary
Order No. 222078 approved February 25, 1965, and that
the land to be conveyed for use as aforesaid comprises
approximately 2.89 acres, more or less.

THIS INDENTURE, made this 110 1A, day of Q , 1966,
between the Port Authority of the City of Saint P ul, Minnesota,
a municipal corporation of the State of Minnesota, party of the
first part, and the City of Saint Paul, a municipal corporation
of the State of Minnesota, party of the second part,
WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, in consider-
ation of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valu-
able consideration, to it in hand paid by the said party of the
second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does
hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of
the second part, its successors and assigns, forever, all the
tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Ramsey
and State of Minnesota, described as follows, to -wit: _
Those parts of Government Lots 1 and 2, and the Northeast
1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 22, Township 28 North,
Range 23 West, lying southerly of Youngman & Lamm's
Addition, Ramsey Co., Minn., and northwesterly of the fol-
lowing described line: Commencing at the quarter- section
corner between Sections 21 and 22 located at a distance of
253.20 feet south of the intersection of the west line of
Section 22 and the southeasterly line of Youngman Avenue;
thence bearing N 00001 on the west line of Section 22 a
distance of 45.00 feet to the point of beginning of the
line to be described; thence bearing N 61 301 E a distance
of 1817.36 feet to a point located at a distance of 385.58
feet southeasterly from the point of intersection of the
southwesterly line of Madison Street and the northwesterly
line of Youngman Avenue; thence bearing N 530001 E a dis-
tance of 1308.05 feet to a point on the east line of the
northwest quarter of Section 22 located at a distance of
359.47 feet and a bearing of S 00051E from the intersec-
tion of the east line of the northwest quarter of Section
22 and the north line of Youngman Avenue extended from the
southwest and there terminating, except that part of said
Section twenty -two (22), Township Twenty -eight (28) north,
Range Twenty -three (23) west heretofore conveyed to City of
Saint Paul by deed dated June 22, 1961, consisting of:
Those parts of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of
Section 22, Township 28 North, Range 23 West, lying southerly
of Youngman & Lamm's Addition, Ramsey Co., Minn., and north -
westerly of a line extending from the southwesterly corner of
Lot 17, F. T. Watson's Sub Division of Lot 22 of Fort Street
Out Lots to St. Paul, to a point on the northeasterly line of
Lot 9, Block 15,_Youngman & Lamm's Addition, Ramsey Co., Minn.,
that is 160 feet southeasterly of the northeasterly corner of-
said Lot 9, and that )part of Government Lot 1, Section 22,
Township 28 North, Range 23 West, lying between the southwes-
terly line of Alton Street and the southwesterly line of Elsa
Place and northwesterly of a line 160 feet southeasterly of
and parallel with the southeasterly line of Youngman Avenue
and bounded on the southwesterly, }northwesterly, and north-
easterly sides by Youngman & Lamm's Addition, Ramsey Co.,
Minn.
