Peterson �__ _ WHEREAS, William Marshall, 1583 Fulham Street, Village of Lauderdale, has made application to the City of St. Paul to connect his property, more specifically described as being the south 1/2 of Lot 3, Oakwood Addition, to the Village of Lauderdale, to the sewer system of the State of Minnesota in Fulham Street which in turn joins that of the City of St. Paul at Hoyt Avenue intersection with Fulham Street, and WHEREAS, City of St. Paul Ordinance No. 8831 prohibits the extension of sanitary sewer service outside city limits, and WHEREAS, City of St. Paul Ordinance No. 7344 permitted the University of Minnesota to construct a sanitary sewer in Fulham Street north of Hoyt Avenue in front of 1583 Fulham Street and beyond to serve property known as University Grove Addition, but which ordinance specifically authorized property east of Fulham Street only to be served,,and WHEREAS, The property identified as 1583 Fulham Street is west of Fulham Street and is not authorized to be served via state constructed sewers under existing ordin- ances, and WHEREAS, The City Corporation Counsel's office is now preparing the amending ordinance to authorize the property west of Fulham Street to be sewered to the City of St. Paul system, and ,t WHEREAS, Said resident of the Village of Lauderdale is in great need of sewer service; be its, RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works be hereby instructed*to issue a permit for the connection of said village property to the state -owned sewer system in Fulham Street, informal approval of said connection being given in anticipation of said Ordinance. ,o/G �1g19 COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays Carlson Dalglish Holland Meredith Per Tedesco Film i'my7 tip: Mr. Vice President (Peterson ` AUG 2 51966 Adopted by the Council 19— ' 2 596 Approved � 19— In Favor +Gating Mayor _Against PUBLISHED AUG 2 7 1966 22
