WHEREAS, the St. Paul Hilton Hotel is a major contribution
to the social, economic, and cultural life of St. Paul; and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Hilton Hotel Corporation and the
many public spirited investors who made this hotel possible
deserve the congratulations and thanks of the people of _
St. Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Standard Construction Company, general contractor,
has done a superb job in the highest traditions of workmanship in
completing this major project without major inconvenience to'
traffic or to the public at large; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of St.,Paul that the
St. Paul Hilton Hotel Corporation, Mr. Herbert Buetow, its
President, and the Standard Construction Company be congratulated
on this major contribution to civic life, and for the talent and
workmanship displayed in, completing a major construction project
in the heart of downtown with little or no inconvenience to the
