Green Sheet # 3027663 RESOLUTION Presented by CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 33 1 WHEREAS, James J Lacasse, dba Riverstone Development Group, LLC, 332 Minnesota Street, 2 W-119, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101, is the owner and developer of the property at 397 Hazel Street 3 North, on the west side of Hazel Street, between Wilson Avenue and Old Hudson Road, described 4 as Lot 2, Block 6, HUDSON ROAD GARDENS; and 5 WHEREAS, the property is being developed with ten (1Q) townhouse units and has insufficient 6 street frontage to allow for ten addresses on Hazel Street; and 7 WHEREAS, the developers are constructing a private street as shown on "Attachment A" to provide 8 access to the townhouses; and 9 WHEREAS the deve(opers desire fo name fhis privafe street as GARDEN WAY and have their 10 townhouses addressed off this street; now, therefore, be it 11 RESOLVED, that the private street as shown on "Attachment A," shall hereafter be known and 12 designated as GARDEN WAY and shall remain a privately owned street; and be it further 13 RESOLVED, that the Department of Public Works shall issue house numbers for the homes using 14 GARDEN WAY as the designated street name; and be it further 15 RESOLVED, that the developers and/or their successors in interest shall install and maintain house 16 numbers on the homes in accordance with Chapter 71 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code; and be it 17 further 18 RESOLVED, that the developers and/or their successors in interest shall construct and maintain the 19 proposed private street, at their own cost and expense, and continue to maintain in a clear and 20 unobstructed manner to provide access for all vehicular traffic, including emergency services 21 vehicles; and be itfinally OS- - 7$� 1 RESOLVED, that the developer and/or its successors in interest shall construct and maintain at their 2 own cost and expense the necessary signing of the private street, to be known 2s Garden Way, to 3 the satisfaction of the Department of Public Works. Advantages IfApproved: Allows a more desirable house numbering system for this project and makes it easier for the Fire Department to fmd the addresses. Disadvantages(fApproved: None.
