An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3250, entitled:
"An administrative ordinance relating to the Civil
Service Bureau of the City of Saint Paul, approving and adopting
rules and regulations therefor, "
approved August 20, 1914, as amended. This is an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and
safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 3250, approved August 20, 1914,
as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding to
Section 47 the follbwi.ng:
11C GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES-- In order that there shall be a
'formal procedure for the handling of grievances_ of employees,
the Council shall adopt, by resolution, a statement of grievance
procedures.
Employees may use such procedures without fear of reprisals,
and such procedures shall be available to all employees. All
appeals and decisions shall be on forms furnished by the
s Civil Service Bureau. i1
Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by inserting, before the material in Section 47 A,
the words "UNFILLED POSITIONS (ABOLITION OF) -- 11 ; and, by inserting,

before the material in Section 47 B, the words "EXAMINATION QUESTIONS
(SAMPLES OF) -- 11 .
Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval, and publication.
