BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded a$13,333 Recreation Open Space Development Grant to the City of
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation to complete ecological restoration work projects in Indian Mounds Regional Park, along
Cherokee Heights Blvd, and along North Mississippi River Blvd; and
WHEREAS, Pazks and Recreation is requesting that the 2005 adopted budget be amended to include said Recreation
Open Space Development Grant revenue; and
WHEREAS, said projects will take place from September 1, 2004 through December 31, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Pazks and Recreation is willing to provide project management and implementation services for said
ecological restoration work upon the amendment of the Parks and Recreation's 2005 Crrants and Aids Fund budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are
available for appropriation, funds of $13,333 in excess of those estimated in the 2005 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following additions be made to the 2005 budget:
FINANCING PLAN:
860 - Pazks and Recreation Grants/Aids
33196 - Environmental Stewardship
3802 - Metropolitan Council
SPENDING PLAN:
860 - Parks and Recreation Grants/Aids
33196 - Environmental Stewardship
0219 - Fees-Other Professional Services

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute snch
agreements as may be necessary to accept this grant on behalf of the City; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these changes to the 2005 budget.
