RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the award of the Purchasing Committee therefor
and hereby awards contract to MAJOR MOTORS, INC. for furnishing and delivering five 1966
Ford Custom Sedans to the Department of Public Safety, Repair Shop, 1441 Rice Street,
in accordance with specifications therefor and hereto attached and the Formal Bid #1600 of
said Major Motors, Inc. at a cost of $11,139.00, Less allowance of $3460.00 for 4 1964 Ford
Sedans and one 1964 Wagon (City Nos, 318, 319, 327, 342 and 349), making net amount of
contract $7,679.00, such bid being the lowest and said Major Motors, Inc. being a reasonable
and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the
proper fofm of contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
