RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the City
of Saint Paul, Department of Public Safety, Repair Shop, 1441 Rice Street, Saint
Paul, Minnesota, Three 1966 Model 8-cylinder, 2 -door, 5- passenger Ford Custom
Sedans to THE MIDWAY FORD COMPANY in accordance with City specifications therefor
hereto attached and the Formal Bid #1613 of said The Midway Ford Company, at a
cost of $6,102.00 less allowance of $350.00 for one 1962 Ford 2 -dr. Sedan,
Serial +2P51W- 173214 (City #551) and two 1962 Plymouth 2 -dr. Sedans, Serial
Nos. 3927 - 138+79 (City #561) and 3921138469 (City #560) to be taken in trade,
making net amount of contract $5,052.00, such bid being the lowest and said The
Midway Ford Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor,
and the proper.City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
