RESOLVED, That Merit Chevrolet be and hereby is
permitted to enlarge to 70 cars an existing 38 -car used -car
lot at the southwest corner of Arcade Street and Minnehaha
Avenue, more particularly described as Lots 15, 16, 17, 18,
19, 20 and 21, Block 1, Schurmeierfx Seventh Street Addition
to the City of Saint Paul, in accordance with plans dated
Received January 5, 1966; that said applicant- permittee, and his
successors and assigns, in connection with the maintenance and
operation of said used -car sales lot, shall make due compliance
with all applicable provisions of municipal ordinances, State
statutes and rules and regulations of public authorities having
cognizance.

Dear Sir:
This is written in response to the application of Merit Chevrolet.
for a permit to enlarge to 70 cars an existing 38 -car used -car
lot. The property is located at the southwest corner of Arcade
Street and Minnehaha Avenue and is described as Lots 15, 16, 172
1851 199 20 and 21, Block 1, Schurmeier's Seventh Street Addition
to the City of Saint Paul. The site is irregularly shaped, having
a frontage of 291 feet on the south side of East Minnehaha Avenue,
and 80 feet on the west side of Arcade Street resulting in an area
of approximately 31,085 square feet.
At the December 2, 19659 Board of Zoning meeting, the staff reported
that the Traffic Engineer has reviewed the plan and recommends appro-
val. The plan meets the design standards for such facilities.
Based upon the above considerations, the Board of Zoning redommends
approval of the permit to enlarge to 70 cars the existing 38 -car
lot subject to the applicant furnishing an entire layout for the
parking of then used cars.
