WHEREAS., Comptroller's Contract L -6801, Kraus- Anderson of St. Paul Co., Con-
tractor for the repair and rebuilding of the Navy Island Bridge over the South
Channel of the Mississippi River has been substantially completed, and
WHEREAS, Said Contractor requests that a portion of the 15% retained under
the contract from estimates for work done, be paid in advance of the final com-
pletion of the contract, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner and Chief Ligineer of the Department of Public
Works approve the payment at this time of 6,000.00 of the $6,820.78 retained;
therefore be it,
RESOLVED, That the proper City Officials be and they are hereby authorized
to pay an estimate in the amount of $6,000.00 from the retained percentage amount-
ing to $6,820.78 to said Contractor; and be its,
FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution shall have no force or effect unless
the sureties on the Contractorts bond consent thereto in writing and file such
consent with the City Comptroller.
