WHEREAS, The City of St. Paul by Ordinance No. 12948, approved
April 14, 1965 transferred to the Minneapolis -St. Paul Sanitary District
the control and responsibility for the operation and maintenance of
certain combined storm and sanitary sewer regulators where the overflow
could be conveyed directly to the Mississippi River, and
WHEREAS, Section 2 of said ordinance requires that the Sanitary
District submit plans for modifications to existing regulators to the
Department of Public Works for approval, and SA
WHEREAS, The Sanitary District has submitted plans and specifica-
tions for REGULATOR DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM - CONTRACT 664 -B for the construc-
tion of a telemetry and control system for monitoring devices at six
regulators in the City of Saint Paul and eight regulators in the City of
Minneapolis at an estimated $215,000.00 construction cost, 50 percent of
said cost to be financed by the Sanitary District budget, the remainder
by Federal Funds, be it
RESOLVED, That the plans and specifications for the above mentioned
project prepared by consulting engineers for the Sanitary District and
heretofore submitted to and approved by the Commissioner of Public Works
and the Chief Engineer, hereby are in all things approved, and be it,
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Minneapolis -Saint Paul Sanitary District
be notified by the City Clerk of Council approval by copy of this resolu-
tion.
