To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul:

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Councils known as Council File Noe 226147
approved December 3, 1965 relative to open, widen, and expand the inter-
section of Seventh Street and Jackson Street by condemning and taking for street purposes
that parcel of land lying within the following described lines: Commencing at the north-
west corner of Lot 7, Block 2, St. Paul Proper; thence southerly along the westerly line
of said Lot 7 a distance of 100 feet to a point; thence easterly parallel to the northerly
line of said Lot 7 a distance of 8 feet to a point; thence northerly on a straight line to
a point on the northerly line of said Lot 7 14 feet easterly of the northwest corner of
said Lot 7; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 7 to the point of
beginning, except that part thereof taken for the widening of Jackson Street.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
