OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL OLUTIONa G ENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONS D ATE — WHEREAS, the Committee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the Purchasing Agent, and the Commissioner of Public Works of the City of Saint Paul, has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as follows: Lots 1 and 2, June's Addition,,acc., and WHEREAS, the property described therein is necessary for the opening and widening of Shepard Road, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the total amount of $15,250.00, a fair and reasonable price according to,the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and WHEREAS, said committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said committee submitted herewith; now,1 therefore, be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of ,the City of Saint Paul, the Council of ,the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the land described as: Lots 1 and 2, June's Addition, ace., RESOLVED FURTHER that the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay to Selma M. Christiansen, vendor_of said property, the sum of $15,250.002 said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund 6000, to be reimbursed from Municipal State Aid Fund No. 64- 194 -09 upon her furnishing an abstract of title continued to date evidencing good marketable title in Selma M. Christiansen, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said party of an appropriate warranty deed conveying title to said property to the City of Saint Paul. Mrs. Selma M. Christiansen, owner of the above described lands, has accepted an offer tendered her byjthe City in the amount of $15,250.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the City. This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the City of Saint Paul for right -of -way for the future extension of Shepard Road.
