haye- sagged as much as ten inches out of level, and have separated
from the outside walls. The bathroom and kitchen floors show
evidence of serious rotting. The rooms are littered with debris.
The plaster walls are cracked and loose throughout the entire build-
ing. Both the plumbing and electrical systems are in very poor
condition and in need of extensive repair.
Therefore, it is the conclusion of the Bureau of Public Buildings
that by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, physical
damage, unsanitary condition and abandonment that this building
constitutes a hazard to public health, safety and welfare. It is
the further recommendation of the City Architect that the Council
hold .a public hearing at ten ol`clock A.M. on Thursday, October 27,
1966 to consider the advisability and necessity of ordering the
correction or wrecking and removal of the structure on the subject
property, and that the City Architect, on behalf of the City Council,
notify by mail the record owner of the property in question at the
last known address, as well as other interested persons of record,
of the date and time of this hearing.
