Ames, the City Architect, has requested the City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing the dangerous structures at 593 -5 Aurora Avenue, more particularly described as: With easement and except East 32 -1/2 feet, Lot 23, all Lot 22, Block 1, Beck's .Addition to the City of St. Paul; and WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record owner of the property is Leon J.. Michaloski, 263 University Avenue, St. Paul, and the contract purchaser is Edward-H. Nissen, c/o 593 -5 Aurora Avenue, St. Paul; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council-of the City of Saint Paul hold -a public hearing in the Council Chamber at 10 o'clock a.m. on the 27th day of October, 1966, to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount thereof; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by mail the •record owner of the property in question at the last known address, as -well as other interested persons of record. This property is owned by: Leon J. Michaloski, 263 University Avenue, St. Paul Contract Purchaser: Edward H. Nissen, c/o 593 -5 Aurora Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota Attorney: Eugene Schwayi 302 Minnesota Building, St. Paul, Minnesota In the matter of condemnation of the dangerous structures thereon, the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council: C.F. 225732, ado ted by the Council October 27, 1965, (published October-30, 1965T set a public hearing at 10 A.M. on November 23, ,1965. C.F. 226070, ado ted by the Council November 30, 1965, (published December 4, 1965T ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof. C.F. 226545, adopted by the Council January 4, 1966, (published January 8, 1966) directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the fourplex and garage thereon, and do any and all things therein necessary for the protection of life, limb and adjoining property. _ r . � r Q 9PX (Hon. Council) (September 15, 1966) The Contract Committee awarded the contract for wrecking to Minnesota Lumber & Wrecking Corporation for the sum of $1,173.00, in accordance with specifications and Informal Bid No. 9434. C.F. 229469, adopted by the Council July 13, 1966, (published July 16, 1966) provided that the wrecking expense of $1,173.009 and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of $119-.35, making a total of"$1,292.35, be paid out of Wrecking Buildings- Demolition Account 0976 -256, and, in the event said sum proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to this account. The buildings have now been satisfactorily wrecked and a registered bill mailed to the owners., We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days - notice to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred and to confirm the amount. r tr you s, obert L.
