WHEREAS; Robert L. Ames, the City Architect, has requested
the City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints
about the expense incurred by the City .of Saint Paul in removing a
dangerous structure at 891 Marion Street, more particularly described
as-Lot 12, Block 14 of Blocks 7,•8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 Lewis'
(2) Addition to St. Paul, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record owners of
the property are Samuel B. and Jeanette Lechtman, 148 Endicott on
Fourth Building; Percy V. Moulton, 891 Marion Street; and John A.
Johnson Realty, 605 Wells Street, all of Saint Paul, Minnesota; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hold
,a public hearing in the Council Chamber at 10 o'clock a.m. on the 37th
day of October, 1966, to consider any complaints about the expense incurred
by the City of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount thereof; be it
.FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by mail the
record owners of the property in question at the last known address,
as well as other interested persons of record.

Gentlemen:
A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this
date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known as
891 Marion Street, described as Lot 12, Block 14 of Blocks 7, 8,
9, 10, 119 129 139 14 and 15, Lewis'- Second Addition to Saint Paul.
This property is owned by:
Samuel B. and Jeanette Lechtman, 148 Endicott on Fourth
Building, St. Paul, Minnesota
Percy V. Moulton, 891 Marion Street, St. Paul, Minnesota
John A. Johnson Realty, 605 Wells Street, St. Pauli Minnesota
In the matter of condemnation of the dangerous structure thereon,
the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council:
C.F. 226255, adopted by the Council December 10, 1965, (published
December 18, 1965) set a public hearing at 10 A.M. on January 11,
1966.
C.F. 226821, ado ted by the Council January 18, 1966, (published
January 22, 19665 ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost
and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in contro3-
thereof.
C.F. 227355, adopted by the Council February 18, 1966, (published
February 26, 1966) directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recrea-
tion And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove
the two -story two family dwelling thereon, and do any and all things
therein necessary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoining
property.

C.F. 229464, adopted by the Council July 13, 1966, (published
July 16, 1966) provided that the wrecking expense of $495.00,and
expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation And Public
Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of
$34.41, making a total of $529.41, be paid out of Wrecking Build-
ings- Demolition Account 0976 -256, and; in the event said sum
proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to
0976 -256.
The building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a registered
bill mailed to the owners.
We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days`
notice to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred, and
to confirm the amount.
